Thank God its Friday!

Sick is a very bad word in my dictionary. I hate being sick and unfortunately, I often get sick during times I wish I didnt, especially when nearing exams and during holidays. And again unfortunately, I've been sick for a the past few days. It all started with a minor sore throat and I didnt give it much of a thought. Until it became a major one together with running nose, I went to the clinic. But three days later, the antibiotics had only cured the sore throat but not the flu! Damn. And later a bad ulser on my tongue didn't help the situation either.

I was forced to take my meals in pain, or otherwise I cant take those medicine. The flu was annoying for the past few days, until I overdosed myself last night and it did made me feel a little better. But the problem now is the ulcer.. Ish.. I hope it'll be gone by this weekend with the help of them mighty Bonjela.. hehe

Tonight, my mum had decided that we have our dinner out, since the whole companion is back including my lil bro back for the weekend from UPM. We went to the Ayam Penyet (AP) branch in Puchong. I've heard about it all this while, but I had no idea what all the rave was about. Until I tried it, damn, the sambal was exceptionally good! And the chicken was crispy and tender too, just nice to my liking. The pricing is a little on the high side, but it was a good experience. Even though I had to eat with absolute pain due to the ulcer, I will definitely return again!

Tomorrow is Saturday. And we're going to Batu Pahat. The idea of the trip is simple, to visit grandma's newly renovated house, and to indulge in those great Batu Pahat dishes. Carrot Kueh, the morning nasi lemak, and the original Batu Pahat nasi bariani gam. Mmmmmm... Can't wait!!

Hoobastank - The Reason

This song suddenly popped up into my mind while I was doing some spring cleaning in my room. I cant help it but it was probably due to some stuff which I found that could be linked to past memories. The past is still the past, and all we can do is try to move as there's no use clinging on when the other wouldn't want you back. :(

All I could do is to learn from my mistakes, and I guess its the best way for us. She seems happy, and I should be happy for her as well....

Hoobastank - The Reason

I'm not a perfect person,
There's many things I wish I didn't do,
But I continue learning,
I never meant to do those things to you,
And so I have to say before I go,
That I just want you to know,

I've found a reason for me,
To change who I used to be,
A reason to start over new,
and the reason is you.

The search for the light

The holidays had been rather boring for me. I spent my days staying up late, sleeping most of the time and waking up at almost in the afternoon, just in time for lunch. Its a bad routine I know, but with the exception of weekends, where all of us are forced to wake up early to do chores. Its less than 2 weeks more till the starting of my last semester so I should enjoy while I can, which is to sleep and eat at home! :p

Today I did a couple of things, after waking up almost in the afternoon as usual. Brushed up and drove to a place called Motorsport Playground in Sunway. It might sound like a kiddie thingy, but its a shop which specialises in making and supplying car stickers, and they're quite professional from what I observe. Its not a small business either, you often see cars like Porsches and Lambos parked over there to get their cars sticked up with custom fake carbon fibers and vinyls.

I am currently a member of the BLM Club, which is a club for Proton Saga BLM owners. Few days earlier, they have opened the application for unclaimed club numbers, and I was fast enough to grab mine. Motorsport Playground supplies the club stickers and I was required to go there for installation.

The owner (or Boss) of the place, Remus is a friendly chap. The place was indeed like a playground, with racing simulators all around for guests to play, and the lounge was comfortable enough with a large TV playing Top Gear. While I was there to stick up the club sticker, I asked them to stick some carbon fiber sticker on the car grille. Initially I plan to cover a few places with stickers, but the prices they quoted are not cheap. So I decided to do the other parts later.

Sticking work in progress at MSP, Sunway...

Ta-da! The carbon fiber look.

The result, while maintaining the stock look.

My official BLM Club number. Do honk me if you see me!

About more than an hour later, it was done so I head towards Ikea in Mutiara Damansara to get replacement lights for my room. Since the house is under renovation, I could ask the 'mat kontraktor' to help me replace my faulty lights on my computer desk, since one of the bad cats disturbed and broke the plug connector. It was my fastest Ikea trip ever made, since I knew what I wanted to buy, so I got in, got the lights and paid. It was a breeze to park in there on a weekday, as compared to weekends.

Drove back home and started spring clean my room a little. My computer table was in a mess, and to enable the 'mat kontraktor' to install my lights tomorrow, it should be neat enough for him to do the job. During the cleaning, I found several CDs and stuff which I thought I've lost many years ago, and the best part is I found unopened ang pow packets with money inside! hahaha. Its like a mini jackpot! I have always had this habit of keeping unopened ang pow packets with the intention of opening it later, which of course I would forget soon and only open it months or years later. This morning I thought I was a little broke after paying for the car stickers, but my wallet now thicker by a hundred bucks more to spend later.. :D

The aftermath of what used to be a bathroom.

Looks like a scene from the Counter Strike. haha!

New year resolutions

Happy new year!

I guess its a trend for most people nowadays to set a new year resolution as we go into a new year. It can be said as a personal goal to be achieved by yourself, or just for sake of making yourself feeling better. This the year of the rabbit, and it is my year, so I hope its good for me. I was born before the CNY in 1988, which makes me a rabbit baby, rather than others in the same year which was born in the year of Dragon.

When you set a rather unachievable goal in life, you will feel miserable when you do not achieve it.

Mine this year is rather simple: All I want is to be a better myself, a better man, a better student, as well as a better graduate. :)
